    The Word hubris is Greek for exaggerated pride. In Ancient Greece it was believed to be the worst sin, and was punished swiftly by the Greek gods. In the story the Iliad by Homer, many characters displayed hubris. Achilles and Agamemnon were guilty of hubris and displayed the trait on more than one occasion.
